Classic Riders Club of Goulburn is gearing up for an exciting lineup of social events tailored for classic motorcycle enthusiasts. The Classic Riders Club of Goulburn: A Community of Passionate Enthusiasts


Before diving into the events, it's essential to understand the heart of the Classic Riders Club of Goulburn community. This club is not just about motorcycles; it's about camaraderie, shared experiences, and a love for the open road. Members come together to celebrate their passion for classic bikes, participate in rides, and engage in various social activities.

The Classic Riders Club have bi-weekly Sunday and Tuesday rides, but there is so much more, these are our current annual events, and of course we are also supporters of events held by Goulburn Motorcycle Club, Spokes Motorcycle Club and many events held regionally and state wide.


Upcoming Events You Can't Miss


1. Tiddlers and Timers Tour


Date: Monday 21 September - Thursday 24 September 2026

Location: KandG'z cafe, Franklin St, Goulburn


A 4 day event for small capacity machines and older vintage machines up to 500cc, such as BSA, Honda Dreams, Norton singles etc.  The emphasis is on a slow tour, with an 80kph tour, lots of sightseeing, back roads (both tar and dirt) and evening fellowship and providing a chance for riders to use machines that would otherwise not be suitable for our regular Sunday and Tuesday rides.

 

This ride has a support vehicle and trailer and is open only to club members at this point.


What to Expect:


  • Approx 1200km of mixed road riding at a max 80kph

  • Brilliant evening get togethers

  • Visits to local tourist attractions and stunning scenery


2. Classic Riders Club of Goulburn Annual Ride


Date: Friday 16 October - Sunday 18 October 2026

Location: Starting at Goulburn Workers Club - meet and greet on the back deck area from 6.00 p.m.


This is an open event for all riders and motorcycles and conducted across a 3 day period, it consists of a Friday Evening Meet & Greet on the deck area at the Goulburn Workers Club from 6.00 p.m, followed by dinner at the Bistro. The Saturday ride will consist of 2 routes with a BBQ lunch at Laggan. Saturday evening dinner and presentation at the Goulburn Bowling Club at 6.30 p.m., Sunday Ride out to Tarago - visit the Tarago Car, Bike and Truck show - food and refreshments available for purchase at the show.



There are awards for bikes in various categories and the ride typically attracts entrants from all over NSW.

3. Presidents Christmas Ride and Party


Date: Sunday 13 December 2026

Location: TBA


Our last event of the year, the club provides the food so we can say thank you to all our wonderful members.  The ride is a fixed 80 kms that is run at a sedate 80kph so you can ride your tiddler or postie bike or your older vintage machine.


The BBQ, includes entrees, various meats, desserts and snacks.


What to Expect:


  • Shorter ride on good roads with lots of corners suitable for slower bikes

  • Fabulous BBQ

  • Celebrate Christmas and the past year


4. For the Love of Our Bikes


Date: Sunday 14 February 2027

Location: Goulburn Waterworks Museum


Valentines day for our bikes!  Get out your historic machine, give it a polish and join the fun.  A fun event where we video ourselves with our bikes, tell stories of our bikes and basically show them the love and respect they deserve.


Partners and friends are invited and prospective members are very welcome.


What To Expect:


  • Medium length ride on good roads with lots of corners

  • Fabulous BBQ

  • Fun photo and video session

  • Great company

  • Top event for new members


5. Worn Out Wander


Date: 21 February - 6 March 2027

Location: Tasmania


Our big annual tour event over 14 days, it is open to all club members and invited friends. Distance will be approximately 3,000 kms in total on back roads, with lots of curves and mountains.  It does not include dirt except where absolutely unavoidable.  The ride will include day rides from various locations.

 

Pillion riders are invited, even expected, the event may be supported by a back up vehicle if there are a large number of riders, suitable bikes are typically larger capacity Sports, ADV and Tourers,


What To Expect:


  • 14 days of riding fun

  • Great Tasmanian scenery

  • Fabulous evening meals and friendship


6. Memorial Ride Day


Date: Sunday 28 February 2027 TBC

Location: Grand Prix Memorial Site, Braidwood Rd, Goulburn


We hold this event to commemorate those from our club who have ridden on, it consists of a memorial event at our Grand Prix Memorial site on Braidwood Road, a short local ride and a BBQ at Goulburn Waterworks.  Members of the families of our past members are invited to attend.


What to Expect:


  • Unveiling of commemorative plaques

  • Talks by family members of the departed

  • Ride followed by a BBQ


7. The Great Southern Motorcycle Swap Meet


Date: Sunday 21 March 2027 (TBC)

Location: Goulburn Recreation Area, Braidwood Rd, Goulburn


Our clubs’ main fundraiser for the coming year, held at Goulburn Recreation Centre, it attracts stall holders from all over Australia, it’s a motorcycle only swap meet.  The Saturday is for stall holders to set up and swap and the Sunday is open to the general public.


We have a Swap Meet team of over 20 members and we always welcome new team members.


What To Expect:


  • Over 120 Stalls

  • Great Food  and Coffee

  • Fabulous Social Interaction


8. LAMS Ride


Date: Saturday 17 April 2027 (TBC)

Location: Belmore Park, Montague Street, Goulburn


This ride creates a welcoming entry point for newer riders, particularly those on LAM's-approved machines, to experience the camaraderie that has long defined the club. At the same time, it gives seasoned members the perfect excuse to dust off their smaller machines before the winter chill sets in.


What To Expect:


  • Great ride

  • Lunch at a venue TBA

  • Companionship and wonderful scenery


9. Distinguished Gentleman's Ride


Date: Sunday 16 May 2027 (TBC)

Location: Belmore Park, Montague Street, Goulburn


A major international fundraiser for men's mental health and prostate cancer research, which is part of the Movember movement Held on the same date in each international location.


Riders dress up in all their finery, for example suits, vests, ties, capes and more and parade their classic bikes along a secret (till the event) 40km route. The event includes a get together before the ride for coffee and refreshments and a BBQ/food available at the end.


Registration is via the DGR Website where all the details will be available closer to the date in 2027, The minimum donation is $20.00 and the event is open to all riders from within our region, you do not need to be a club member.

  • Pre-ride bike display

  • Great communal get-together

  • Wonderful slow parade ride within the city of Goulburn and surrounds

  • Terrific BBQ/food available at the completion of the ride
